From deepest, dankest Sussex come Hell Puppets, a morbid collision of punk rock fury, crushing metal and dark horror theatrics. Formed in late 2011, they have so far released the EP 'No Strings Attached' and album 'Theatre of Sin' to rave reviews and headbanging fans, toured the UK with The Heretic Order and Meta-Stasis, supported the likes of Mushroomhead and Evil Scarecrow and played venues and festivals across the UK including Bloodstock Open Air, Eradication, The Alt Collective and Mammothfest.
Currently restricted under pandemic conditions like everyone else, the Puppets are currently on the search for a new vocalist, but have nevertheless managed to produce new videos whilst looking forward to releasing new material in 2021.
"It takes a lot to shock us at Terrorizer, but with period dripping tampax hanging from a crotch of one of ‘em while performing punk metal horror madness, we left slightly disturbed; and what a pleasure it was."
TERRORIZER
"Certainly a fitting band to open for Evil Scarecrow."
RAMZINE
"Their charismatic blood drenched zombie bride of a guitarist... engaged the crowd with insanity in his eyes for every riff. With the rest of the band looking equally nuts but holding it all solidly together this was horror punk metal at its best, with some cracking good tunes to boot."
PURE RAWK
"With a growing reputation as a bunch of lively nutters on stage and a recent well received set at Bloodstock under their belt this could and should be the album to take the Hell Puppets from underground safety to bedroom wall renown."
GET YOUR ROCK OUT
"Hell PuppeTs do their best to defy pigeonholing... I would have said they were tongue-in-cheek, but they strike me as the kind of band who would take that literally, applying a switchblade to an unsuspecting victim’s face before yanking their tongue through the gaping wound and holding it tight until they choked on their own blood... It’s bonkers – The Murderdolls meets Chas ‘n’ Dave."
MOSHVILLE TIMES
[Theatre of Sin] is a carnivorous vaudeville of horror and creative drama cast across a dozen songs which just thrust a knife of contagion through the heart and continually twist it with a bounty of punk ferocity, metal predation, and rock ‘n’ roll devilry.
THE RINGMASTER REVIEW
"If you wanted to know what it might sound like if King Diamond had written songs for The Misfits then prepare to be one happy motherfucker. This is horror punk metal at its finest fans... If you’re just a lifelong metal and horror fan like The Scribblers then you don’t want this album… YOU NEED THIS ALBUM!"
